ZIKA Virus: Zika virus is spread to humans mainly through the bit of an infected mosquito. They are the same species of mosquitoes that spread Chikungunya and Dengue. This specific virus can be spread from a pregnant mother to her baby during pregnancy. About 1 in 5 people will get sick; however, the illness is usually mild. There is currently no cure.

West Nile Virus: West Nile virus is an anthropod-borne virus (arbovirus) that is typically spread by mosquitoes. Mosquitoes become diseased when they nurse on infected birds. These diseased mosquitoes can not only spread the virus to humans, but they can spread it to animals as well. West Nile virus can and has caused death.

The typical symptoms for this is a sudden onset of fever that last two to four days, with joint pains that can last weeks, months or sometimes years.
